Editing "Langauges" error

/inc/languages. These are the permissions set for the languages folder, why am I not able to make changes from the admin panel, everything shows that it is writable under tools and maintenance.

have you checked permissions of individual language files ? you can use the recurse method & apply to all files and folders

No when I first installed I assumed chmodding the folder would consequently chmod the file within since it's always worked out like that for me however this time it did not, all the files within where set to 0777 however after recursing them I am able to edit via the admincp. Thank you!
