Confused about Upgrade

Am running 1.8.5 and would like to upgrade so I downloaded the FULL upgrade in a .zip format (mybb_1807.zip). When I looked inside the zip file there were no folders (directories), only files (773).

Do I just copy all the files to the Upload folder? Doesn't seem right to me.

Thanks. I did that and it refers to an "Upload all of the files and folders inside the package (from inside the 

Upload/

 folder if using the full package), including the 

install/

folder (if it exists), overwriting the existing copies of the files in your file system."

Trouble is, there are NO folders inside the zip pkg, just files (including 50+ Index.html files). No /Install folder.

I suggest you to do fresh install, but remember you will loose all of your customization, if any.

If you are uncomfortable doing yourself, then PM me or a staff member your Cpanel access, they will do that for you.
[You can also PM me TeamViewer ID and i will do that on your end]

Are you able to confirm the MD5 checksum from the release post?
Try opening the package using a different .zip manager.

Hi,

When I extracted the files from the 07.zip they came out in the proper folders (Upload - Doc). as they were supposed to. When looking into .zip, it just showed files (probably the zip index). 

Am now in the process of updating - (fingers crossed).
