I have the same problems with cookies to login to my new site. I've tried different browsers, deleted cookies, etc.
Tried to find solutions here on forum, but didn't get it fixed..or then I didnt do it right. Blush

It worked yesterday to login as a normal user and to ACP. But now I can't login as an normal user nor do anything in ACP. I get to ACP, but when trying to do something, it takes me directly back to the login menu.

Any suggestions to solve this problem, would be appriciated.
Thanks
Ray

whats your forum URL?

your cookie should be set to .yourdomainhere.yourtld here e.g .discussion.sx as my forum is discussion.sx

http://5.77.47.137/~tony/portal.php

Ok, this is really trying my patience..yet again I can't login. On top of all,  I can't logout either..lol.

Any other suggestions?

see faq: login
cookie settings can be corrected first in ~/inc/settings.php file
and then at Site Details of Configuration section at admin panel

see also cookie related guidance

I've looked at the FAQ login. IMO, I have the right settings too in inc/settings.php.
I can access the admin dashboard, but when going to "configurations", it directs me back to the login menu, so I can't make any changes there.

^ if you are using http://5.77.47.137/~tony as your forum address then
cookie domain can be .5.77.47.137 and cookie path can be /~tony/

^ hmm., using ~ in forum url could be disturbing cookie set !

not sure when I can check it, yet if you need direct help then
you may PM me temporary access to files (FTP) & forum admin panel
to check it (you can give your own credentials & change them later)
