Quick Reply Error

I'm currently having problems with my forum's quick reply.

Every time anyone posts, the loading icon stays there forever and users are forced to refresh the page to see their reply.

VM152:1 Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token  in JSON at position 0


That is the error that occurs.

Try to use default MyBB theme and see if it is also having the problem or not ?
If No than it is a theme issue, please share your forum url in that case.

Update: Also tried reinstalling the jscript files of MyBB - no luck.

If you're using Chrome (or if you're not, use it ), before you submit the quick reply, right click and click Inspect, go to the Network tab, then XHR underneath that, then submit the quick reply. You should see a new line item appear, click it, then click the Response tab, what's in here?

Ended up reinstalling MyBB and restoring from database
