what I mean is this I want to force users to post without the http when posting pictures or reference sites because I have a secured site like here...

Is there a way to do that or should I just use an image upload mod and instruct them to use that...

Install the DVZ Secure Content plugin, that should help out. It would be hard to get users to use only the upload system since image hosting sites like imgur are very popular.

Okay this is funny I downloaded that plugin last night but was not sure it would fit my needs and thought I would have to add content to the posting.
I agree it would be harder for people to upload the images rather than use another server like imgur. Thank you for your help Tecca

Yes but it seems that it may be a privacy concern for the end user and they are the most important.  It would be awesome if someone posted an easy way to disable the url part in the MyBB avatar, whether through a plugin or code here

By the way, you mean https.  Http is the older lesser protocol we're trying to abolish, https is the fancy encrypted version which keeps peoples data safe (and also ensures data integrity)

I said in my post "without the http" because posting a URl with www. is fine but not http. www. will work since my certificate is constructed with www.

I went through every post on my site and changed it all over manually to https So all is good is still new enough to do that unlike say librivox they have too much and could not do it
