Sidebar moving content

My side bar moves the content below my threads down and creates a gap. Is there a way to fix this to where the content below the threads so they don't get pushed down when side bar is active?

I am going to suggest that that content is placed wrong and should be placed immediately above {$boardstats} in the index template.

all i have been using to edit was the template sets
