Join additional group at registration
Hello, I have an additional group set up for newsletter subscriptions, and currently members choose it from their joinable groups. I'm trying to find a way of adding a simple check box to the registration page where new members could choose to join the newsletter group.
I've just been playing with this plugin https://mods.mybb.com/view/pick-group-on-registration but it's just not simple enough. I can't get it to choose the default group "Newbie" as well as "Newsletter" groups. If I choose newsletter group it make that the default group which is no good. Plus I would rather do it without a plugin.
So does anyone know a simple way of adding a check box to the registration page where if it's checked the member would be in the default group as well as the additional group?
I have Template Conditionals plugin if it helps.
