My index page takes around 4-5 seconds to load but my other pages take a second or less.

I'm really looking for the problem with it, and also better optimization.

The debug stats from the footer would be good to see if there's anything obviously wrong there.

Already nailed it down that DB Queries are causing the problem.

I do see a lot of the same plugin hook over and over again on the debug page.

functions_format_name


functions_format_name is used to format a username based on display group. By default it is used in the Who's Online list, but some plugins use it for who started a thread or last posted.
