Im looking to convert my phpbb forum from phpbb3.1 - the merge suggests just phpbb 3. is 3.1 ok?
Also does the merge delete anything from the existing phpbb databases?

I'm pretty sure you will be able to merge from 3.1 with the merge system.

No, it will not delete the existing phpbb database if you add a prefix to the tables when merging over.

Thanks - its converted fine. But Im left with every topic author being xxxxx_phpbb3_import1

Did you merge the accounts together, when you preformed the merge?

Sorry, im not sure what you mean by that? I just clicked on all the "run" buttons one by one.

You should have merged all the usernames by either emails or usernames from the old database. Do you have a URL?

The suffix is only added if there's already a user with that name in the mybb database if that helps.
