[Error Message] error 1.8.8 to 1.8.9

Hello,

1. Just finish upgrade from 1.8.8 to 1.8.9
my server specs:
PHP 7.0.14
MySQLi 5.5.5
NGINX 1.11.8
Database size around 450MB

2. Step by step when i do update:

1. http://resources.mybb.com/downloads/chan...s_1809.zip <--- using this change package only
2. upload everything via FTP
3. go to install folder then remove the lock file
4. upgrade database process using change package begin with no flaw
5. create lock file again.
6. test the forum again.

First weird thing i got:

a. when disable board into offline mode (maintenance) then enable again after upgrade, it tooks a couple minutes for the board to hide the "maintenance notification in front of the forum"

b. all my board setting default value change into 9, this is including with the post message length (TEXT: 65535 (default) when i saw it the default is 9.

The error i got:


c. for new member and regular member all their post will look with at one post although they post more than one post on the same thread.

i try to do upgrade again (overwrite all files) using full version zip version 1.8.9 but still got the same error
and i did not upgrade the database using full version zip.

The posts are like that because of the post merge feature in MyBB, this was probably enabled by your setting values being changed. I'm not sure why this happened though, I think one other person has had the same issue, but I can't think what could have caused it. Did you backup your database before you upgraded?

Could you please tell me in which section i can change this value into default mybb?

i use mybb in 3 domain names forum never got any error before, so yes my bad never backup the DB before upgraded.

If you go to ACP > Configuration > Posting, there's settings for it here.

I'll try and find the other thread about settings reverting and look into it.

solved, thanks for the hint, i try using regular member the post back to normal again.

so basically yes, all board setting value change into value 9.

thats why i got confuse because never happen before during my upgrade at previous 1.8.8 below.
