[How To?] How can I transfer my Forum to a new domain and host

Hello,

I want to transfer my forum to my new host and domain.

How can I realize that at best?

• Change Board URL and cookie domain in ACP to match the new domain
  
• Back up your database and files
  
• Upload files to new host, make same files/folders writable as you had before
  
• Create database on new host and import backup
  
• Edit new database details into ./inc/config.php
  

Site should then continue as normal.

If you're able to, you could then set up a redirect from the old domain to the new.
