Not receiving emails for "lost password"

I am not getting any emails when I try to recover the lost password on my forum.

What can be the issue?

To expedite the process of answering the multitude of questions for MyBB 1.8, please include the following information when posting your problems:

Detailed description of your problem, including steps to reproduce if necessary
URL to your forum/URL to specific problematic page
New installation or upgrade (from which version of MyBB)?
Test user account (if it requires additional permissions)

Most likely an issue with your mail server not sending them properly. Did this just start happening or has it been going on? What version of MyBB are you running. Did you recently upgrade to a new version? What mail server are you using? Link to your forum? Need more details other than just "my emails aren't sending," not enough to help someone diagnose this properly.

Seems like the server had stopped the forum from updating the version.

It has been now updated but emails are being sent to spam box now, what can be the solution?

Try using an SMTP server. It shouldn't appear as spam then. I have my forum setup to go through my webmail and send email there.
