Is there anywhere where i can download the mybb 1.1 version?

Well the merge tool is your best bet for doing that. Are you saying that you no longer have a database that would work with phpBB? If you are, I'm not even sure the merge tool will be able to cope with a half converted database.

nooo iv got 3 forums set up:

1.http://360glitching.com -- which is going to be the main forum when i get my members transfered at the moment its set to redirect to the phpbb 1

2. http://360glitching.com/forum/ = phpbb 2.0 which has everything apart from sub-forums because it carn't handle it so thats why i was going to use MyBB if everything transfered successfully.

3. http://360glitching.com/phpbb/ = phpbb 3.0 with everything transfered over apart from the passwords because it carn't do it because it is crap, and they need to get that fixed.

So if i do get accsepted the merge thing, i will merge the phpbb 3.0 one which has everything apart from the passwords which will be no problem because people can then use forgot password toolSmile, and yes i do have the database.

If it needs a sql backup i can get one easy also.

P.S: i was also wondering how i could make it so my link is forum.360glitching.com, because i have been trying to do this for ages but just carn't figure out how to do it.

You would have to setup a subdomain from your websites control panel. Whether or not this would work immediately depends on the control panel and where it stores it's subdomains; for example:
If you had cPanel and set up a subdomain called "forum" that would work immediately because cPanel subdomains are stored as a folder inside the main http folder.
If you had Plesk, it would not work, because Plesk stores subdomains in their own "subdomains" folder below the normal httpd folder.

An alternative to redirecting the user from your root directory to the forums would be to install your MyBB forums at your root directory and then merge the MyBB forums with the phpBB forums. That assumes that you don't have another reason for wanting to redirect the users to a forum directory, i.e. You plan to set up your main website in your root directory.

Yes, i do plan on that but when i get accsepted to the merge system i will merge all the users ect to the mybb forum, unless i find a way to do it sooner, the sooner i get all my members back on MyBB then the sooner i will only be using one forum, untill then i cannot do anything about it and will have to use the phpbb 1 untill i get the merge system. Then it will alll be goood hehe.

P.S the MyBB forum is in my root directory, but untill i get the merge system everyone gets redirected to the phpbb 3.0 forum for now.

P.S: I also do have cpanel + fantastico ect, thanks for telling me how to do it.

Thanks

You'll have to let us know if you succeed in that, cause I did what MrDoom suggested and my forum wouldn't recognize me if I used forum.mysite.com instead of mysite.com/forum.

That's because of your cookie settings. You have to choose which style of URL you want to use and stick with it, once decided you need to modify your cookie settings accordingly.

ok, now i have used the merge system, and it worked perfectaly apart from the: attactchment types and also the account reset and e-mailing there passwords, i needed this to work because whn i upgrded from phpbb 2.0 to php 3.0 it didn't reconginze any passwords, but people can just use the forgot password featureSmile.

So i would like to thank everyone who helped me and i am very greatfull.

If there are problems with the merge system, please post it in the Merge System Beta forums so that Tikitiki can track and fix it accordingly.

I also posted this in there also but then my topic got re-moved somewhere else lol.

Seems it got moved to Code Modifications. Here it is.

If you found an error with the Merge Tool, please make a new thread in the Merge Tool forum giving as much information as you can.

Thanks.
