Not Solved IP.Board v3.4.5 -> MyBB 1.8.12

I'm trying to import everything from an old install of IPB and everything works as expected until I arrive to the module that has to import the forums.
Right after it has imported all of them, when it should return to the index of the merger, the page keeps loading without an end.
I tested this on a LAMP stack with both PHP 5.6 and 7.0.
Being the site self hosted, I tried to understand a little bit about what was happening and launching htop I discovered that with PHP 7 all 3 GB of RAM and 3 GB of SWAP were being used by Apache (PHP fault).
The forum that I'm trying to migrate has 33 forums (total of forums and categories) and I don't understand what could cause a similar behaviour.

The complete database is around 168 MB. But the table of the forums is one of the smallest.
I even tried to do it on XAMP but it managed to use 40 GB of memory between RAM and Swap.

^ hmm., that is strange. its cause needs to be traced.

though not sure if I can check in next few days,
would you like to upload the database somewhere & post its link
in the Private Inquiries section with a reference to this thread ..

Generally I hate to up a thread but I just wanted to know if you had the chance to look at the database that I've uploaded into the private inquiries section.
Thanks

Holy cow you don't have to apologize! Do you live in an area affected by Harvey?
If that's the case take care of yourself and your family first and disregard my request.
