I wanted to make a new post but I guess it's better to ask it here. Will mybb have any source of guides, or like resources for people to have a look at to learn more about mybb 1.9? I'm asking because I have basic understanding of mybb and php, enough to write simple plugins for myself, and more than enough to mess with the current theme and template systems. With the new changes, I think it might be hard for me to learn everything all at once by myself, and I do intend to keep up with the new changes of 1.9

I would reasonably expect that the docs (https://docs.mybb.com/) will be updated accordingly when 1.9 is released.

Yes, all relevant changes will end up on the Docs and the Blog (or sticky threads in a 1.9 support section on the Forums).

Leading up to a stable release, we want to publish an overview series of what's new - from various perspectives:

• core development and bug fixing contributions
  
• authoring of themes and plugins
  
• upgrading and managing existing forums
  

Once we adjust 1.9's Admin CP, editing themes from there will work in a similar way (in addition to supporting direct file edits).
