Post Bit - Thread Count

My post bit at the moment shows the amount of threads created by a user. Is it possible to change it to display the total number of threads participated in??

I did a bit of googling and digging through the forums but I can't find the info I need.

This requires a custom plugin as a custom query is required to run.
