Their are many plugins for that, you just have to find the one the suits you.

But incase you dont wish to use a plugin you will insert the adsense code directly into your template which could either be your header, footer or index templates. The choice is yours.

I recommend this plugin:

https://community.mybb.com/mods.php?action=view&pid=39

Work with every theme that i found.

Is very easy to use, just put the code ad and it's done.

You can move the function around the templates for better positioning.

This tutorial will tell you how to add google adsense in MyBB, this tutorial can help you add adsense ads in any MyBB theme.
I am using Focus Responsive MyBB theme, you can use any theme you want.
I am using footer area as an example. Suppose the adsense code is below:

<div align="center">
<script async src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>
<!-- Homepage Leaderboard -->
<ins class="adsbygoogle"
style="display:inline-block;width:728px;height:90px"
data-ad-client="ca-pub-1234567820123456"
data-ad-slot="1234567890"></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>
</div>
To do this, go to the footer template in the admin Panel

  1. Go to Admin CP > Templates and Styles  > Template Sets » FocusResponsive Templates » footer

  2. Edit the template, and find <debugstuff>

  3. Below this add, the above adsense code(Use your adsense code)

  4. Save the template and adsense will be installed on your website.

Isn't Google AdSense capable of inserting ads without any use of plugins? It certainly looks like that when clicking Apply to Site in AdSense ??

You still have to insert given code into forum templates somehow.
Either manually or using a plugin. Plugin is a better option since you can define the usergroups.
For example more ads for guests and less for registered users

Just applying adsense wouldn't change a thind
