The "Spectral" MyBB 1.8.x theme has been updated, addressing discovered issues and improving compatibility with recent MyBB versions.

See what Editor Style (Edit Theme Properties) is set to - the theme comes with Monocons spectral light and Monocons spectral dark, with corresponding files to upload in jscripts/sceditor/. If these files are not available, the styling may look broken. In that case, the browser Console may also hint that these are not accessible.

 got it changed the Monocons Spectral light editor to default editor

I did install MySubscription Plugin but that it but it didn't work so I deactivated it

Try re-importing the theme (it looks like modcp, modcp_nav or other templates don't have the right content).

Is Image Directory (Edit Theme Properties) set to images/spectral?
The button image should point to images/spectral/collapse.png file, a 1x1 placeholder - it looks like the default file is loaded instead.

The vertical menu would be shown without JavaScript - unless you have it disabled, there may be some issues related to scripts on the forum.
