[For 1.8] [Tutorial] Add simple css and fontawesome userbars for usertitle
#31
Hello!

I have a small problem regarding the userbars while using two different browsers ,which i found today as i always use firefox as default browser.

Here is an example

You can see that while using chrome and firefox the userbars aren't working as they should.They shows up good in firefox but in chrome, the external border is missing or not seen correctly.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

As memory serves you used some elements from this tutorial and elements from another tutorial to mix and match what you currently have and that caused confusions in the past. Anyhoo, if you look closely in chrome it is actually showing but it is too small for you to see and only the corners barely peek out and that is because you made it do so by you sizing choice, so, on this particular situation it has to do with how you modified your usergroup id # border sizing 0.1px??? yeppers, there is your problem, right there, oh, and if you simply change 0.1px back to 1px as is the correct sizing in my tutorial it will display in chrome. Wink

some example of what you have

.gid-3 {
    background: #151515;
    border: 0.1px solid #CC00CC;
    color: #CC00CC;
    padding: 2px 16px;
}

for example it needs to be:
.gid-3 {
    background: #151515;
    border: 1px solid #CC00CC;
    color: #CC00CC;
    padding: 2px 16px;
}

again example of what you have:
.gid_3{
     position: relative;
     background: #151515;
     border: 0.1px solid #CC00CC;
     color: #CC00CC;
}

and it should be:

.gid_3{
     position: relative;
     background: #151515;
     border: 1px solid #CC00CC;
     color: #CC00CC;
}

Note: * this needs to be done for all gids and both variants you have running

Example on chrome when corrected:
