[Rejected] No "Last Post" lang or call in forumbit_depth2_forum_lastpost

Not really a bug but I am curious why there is no last post lang in forumbit_depth2_forum_lastpost? Perhaps this was by design or what not but I do prefer back when it said Last Post by in all forum listings.

Concept:

Add:

{$lang->lastpost} 

Example:

forumbit_depth2_forum_lastpost:

IIRC it has not been removed... at least in my theme we have this lang string. Maybe removed by someone in 1.8.x release?

With the old table design you have a column with a heading last post. So it really is redundant to put the text last post into every data cell in that column.

For mobile design it may make sense to do this. because a last post heading may not be visible to the user as he/she scrolls on the small screen.

That is a good point but my point was since it is used elsewhere that also has last post heading thus negating the previous mentioned point you made, so why remove it from depth2? If it was intended to be removed then also remove it elsewhere. If not then re-add it where it is missing. The idea in theory would be to keep it uniform. Hopefully that makes more sense. See screen below for where it is still used though in link form.

Now that i think about it, i don't recall it ever being in forumbit - on the homepage. Last post is not implemented the same throughout the project. On the homepage for eg. the thread title links to the actual last post, thereby removing the need for last post text.

It's different on forumdisplay_threadlist. Here there is no thread to attach the last post to, so last post is linked to the last post text. There are a few other place such as usercp and search results where last post is used like this.

adding it to depth2 even without adding  the lang string to index lang makes it work everywhere except index because the lang string is in forumdisplay. Also if my memory serves this used to be visible on index on older versions..., but then again seeing as I was using this bbs all the way back to 1.0 and such, lol, I cannot recall how good my memory or when it was changed to no longer display

I started with 1.8, so must be before that. As long as MyBB does not make the mistake of removing the last post link all together. I see Invision has gone that way, big mistake IMO.

So what do you think? It is 5 seconds change in code, but I dont feel it should be added
