Error for MySubscriptions

I'm using MySubscriptions on my forums but when adding a new subscription I get this.

Apparently I need to turn of some kind of "strict mode" in MySQL, so I asked my host do so but they say that the plugin is poorly written and when unabled it could create conflicts.

Are you using the latest version of the plugin? The latest update should fix any errors.

Tell you host provider to do what you asked them to. Otherwise, sit and expect future issues because MyBB and some plugins experience issues with Strict Mode enabled.
