Hi,

I have a forum which is using SMF script and hosted at a2hosting. I want to transfer the forum script of SMF to MYBB. Is there any tool for that?

Or do I need to install a new MyBB forum and then creating all the boards and topics again from zero and invite the current members to the new MyBB forum?

Haven't done any merger/transfer before. Feeling confused.

Is there any video tutorial for this?

I have read this: https://docs.mybb.com/1.8/merge/running/

But I guess this post is about updating the previous version of mybb to the latest version. Whereas I wanted to convert my SMF forum into MyBB forum...

Use MyBB merge system, it is also for converting it from other forum software to MyBB,
https://mybb.com/download/merge-system/

It is the correct tool mentioned by @Mipher

If you feel worried, hire someone to do it for you. I am sure there are many who will help you out for a small fee.

And what would be the fee if I hire someone? Should I post a new thread for this purpose?

BTW, what I understand from the page provided above is that...

I have to install the merger script on a sub-directory of the forum directory. And then I need to go through all the steps.

My forum is https://www.amps.edu.pk/forum so, should I install the merger script in /forum/merger ??

In /forum (the link of my forum that I provided above has SMF forum installation.

If you feel comfortable and can afford a reasonable fee, then post your request for the merging in this FORUM.
