Edit time limit on specifc forum only

Hi all

I have a forum set up with an edit time limit of 1440 minutes, but would like to exclude one particular forum, my trading area, from this limit. I have searched here and not found an answer.

Is this possible given the edit time limit is a global setting ? If it is not possible, can I allow selected users to have edit times longer than the default ?

You'd have to install a modification to do this unfortunately.

Is this something that can be done easily or is it complex coding that is beyond the scope of the average user (me) ?
