Didn't you make a backup of your settings.php before making the changes?

Please describe the problem you are having a little better but from what it sounds like it a problem with your cookie settings please take a look at this thread to learn how to fix this if you are unsure what your cookie settings should be you can use this generator.

Note: before you edit any core files create a backup of that file before you change anything just to be safe.
