[General] Toggling source code inserts an "x"

Hello,
everytime I turn on source code view, it adds an "x" to a post.
Some posts have that x with "align-center" code and I also had posts, that had the "x" in the signature.





Last steps:

• Upgrade from 1.8.19 to 1.8.22
  
• Fix a problem, that posts from some members were showing <br> and other code. Achived the fix by installing Rin Editor

The steps, in the thread you linked, unfortunately didn't help. Codebuttons couldn't be reverted anyway as it's not showing any changes.

Rin editor is up to date.

I could not reproduce it with firefox & chrome browsers.
which browser you are using & have you tried with a different browser ?

I'm using Safari on Mac OS. Chrome doesn't do that. Weird... 

Edit: And the solution is... "Wayback Machine" extension in Safari was causing this.
