[How To?] Clean URLs

How would I go about "cleaning up" the URLs of my forum? For example instead of:



How would I make it just be: /member/admin or /member/uid=2

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Google SEO is pretty much the de-facto plugin for doing this. It works like a charm, and has the username, thread names, forum names, and so forth all available within the URLs. https://community.mybb.com/mods.php?action=view&pid=789

If this doesn't work, MyBB has some basic ones built in. They aren't as advanced as the plugin's URLs, but they are better than the default ones. Go to ACP -> Configuration -> Server and Optimization, and enable "Search Engine Friendly URLs" on the very first setting dropdown.
