I have quite an old Newslots newpoints plugin and my question is if someone could make it work on mybb 1.8 I would be grateful

*do not know if I have the free time to look at this much more at the moment but, I did, get a lil free time earlier, simply modified the plugin, template, link, etc, etc so that it installs and uninstalls fine again, menu link installs and uninstalls, winner sound is working again, though I have other things to do today so I will see if I can find any more free time soon to look further at it just in case there is anything else to touch on, but as it is now it is working primarily fine for me.... I did win like almost 600 pts  in the process, haha then lost all but 235, told ya this click click is mildly addictive, lols





NOTE: I don't really have any such free time today to look at this any further nor did I really have the free time in the first place to look at this at all but, eh, at least I found a few free minutes, so here is at least the plugin that now installs and such on 1.8...., as that was your original request and this should get you started, now, if there is anything else that needs to be done I am sure you can either do such yourself and or ask for help from others here as well..., best of luck!

1.1 = standard plugin simply modified for 1.8 usage
  NewSlots1.1.zip (Size: 321.93 KB / Downloads: 60)   note: install this plugin as a standard plugin not as a newpoints plugin

1.2 = Now with localization support:
  NewSlots1.2.zip (Size: 329.68 KB / Downloads: 63) note: install this plugin as a standard plugin not as a newpoints plugin 
* for the two downloaders that download already 1.2, a few changes were made to the template as to how it was including some text items, thus for better translation the changes in template were made and the attachment has been updated
current localization: en-US, en-GB, es-ES, pl-PL for now but you can then create your specific lang files based off such existing lang files

1.3 = further localization support:
  NewSlots1.3.zip (Size: 327.99 KB / Downloads: 79) * found a few free minutes here and there and this is same as 1.2, but now further eliminated the spin image (deleted from pkg also as the spin image was the only thing that wasn't translated, thus removing and replacing with say a localized button made sense) and replaced it with a button and such button text "Spin" has localization support, also i noticed while doing such that the output images were off a lil in position so also corrected that as well just a lil 7, 7, 7 adjustment and a few other minor edits to overall pkg files, minor edit to change ver to 1.3.

* also note: while I have already stated, due to free time constraints, I do not plan at looking at this much further, but regardless, if for whatever reason the attachments ever gets removed as I tend to like to not use up all of my attachment space here at the comm, the files are also archived now at: https://github.com/vintagedaddyo/MyBB_Plugin-NewSlots

However you will require an active membership into my forums or multiple repos inside this communitty to get any plugin i have for free. Only active and participative members are allowed to ask for free any to make some bridges to old plugins

But anyways i think some one should help you on this due it's relative easy to put it to work into mybb 1.8.x without problem.

like neo said it is rather easy to make this install and work correctly in 1.8, anyhoo, lols @ playing with this thing right now as it is amusingly reminding me why i do not gamble, addictive lil clicks, gonna make me want to go next door to the 4 casinos within walking distance if I keep playing with this, hahaha

NOBODY is asking you to pay i am very clear once you need to contribute part so if you don't want to do and as i can see you wont it is at your own.

And some one else have helped to you sharing the file, as i said it is very easy to do, but you wont do it neither because you wont want to do it.

So nvm always will be some one who will help on any request.

No worries, as I said my free time is limited but the 1.1 version fills your initial request to get it to install and use on 1.8, ok, while I still haven't had any free time as of late, there is if you notice above in post #2 another attachment I provided called 1.2 and that zip file simply is localized version of the plugin, (meaning no more hard-coded english lang as is simply provided as an alternative attachment provided to allow folks to add their langs translations if they desired such with this plugin rather than the initial 1.8 usage edit that has hard-coded english text)..., again this should get you started, now, if there is anything else that needs to be done I am sure you can either do such yourself and or ask for help from others here as well..., best of luck!
