Can I add some questions for registration?
#1
Hello, I want to know how to add questions to validate users' identifications.

For example, I hope users can answer which country they are from, and I can see these answers before activating their accounts.

Yes, under configuration in ACP, click Custom Profile Fields (it's the third choice on the left). You can add a new profile field with any question you want. It defaults that it won't show up on registration, so be sure to click that to "yes". I make a mandatory field where they have to say why they're joining, so if it's nothing related to my site, I know it's spam.

Thank you for the answers. It is so helpful to me.
However, the question still cannot be displayed and the web interface pops up the prompt when I finish the steps you provided.

I'm not sure what you mean by still cannot be displayed - do you mean the questions aren't showing on the registration form? It sounds like your theme has outdated templates. Does it work on the default theme?

Yes, the questions aren't showing on the registration form.
And My theme support using the default template

I'm not sure what you mean there - I'm asking if it works on the default MyBB theme, as it may be an issue with a custom theme you're using.

You'll probably need to provide a link to your site.

I followed the above instructions, but I also do not have my question appear on the registration for.  I create a Custom Profile field named "Why do you want to join the forum" and set it to Required=yes, Registration=yes.

When I attempt to register, this field does not appear on the registration form.  However, when I submit it, it complains that:

Please correct the following errors before continuing: You did not enter an option for the "Why do you want to join the forum?" field. Please fill in or select a value for this field.

This is a brand-new clean install of 1.8.38.  I'm going to disable the required field so that people can register.

The URL is: http://knysnayachtowners.org/

To answer my own question, I had to set it to Editable by all groups. I also set it to viewable. I don't know if both are required, but it now works.

Maybe a browser caching issue.  Clear it to test any changes.

Firstly I'd cleanup some mixed content errors you have.  Your root path is http://knysnayachtowners.org, but that and other pages load over https.

I replied to my own question with the answer, which was to set it to Editable and Viewable.

As far as http vs https, I have a separate post regarding that at https://community.mybb.com/thread-241657.html
Any help with that would be appreciated.
