Is there any way of changing the responsiveness of the forum look ... by device type?

When visitors on mobile hit the main page, (Im using the default theme)  they get a Full site which is impossible to read on mobile and not well arranged.

What are some more responsive themes that look great on mobile?

See a lot of questions like this.  There is a way leveraging CSS to achieve the desired results.  Can't recommend trying it in your own.  You can find responsive themes by searching in extend.   Be warned - not all themes are created equal.  You have to look out for php versioning, database compatibility, and as always - code quality.

If you have ask the question, not sure open source is your best route. Huh

How does PHP and database compatibility have anything to do with a theme? Themes are HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. None of which are related to PHP or the database.

Some of these themes, if older and not updated, may have templates that need some changes for compatibility with the current MyBB version but a PHP version and database version are not related to a theme.

You can scour the internet for "responsive web design" tutorials to find some help if you want to do this yourself.

Point well taken.  Too much time in the board room my last 45-odd years. Confused
