Installed plugins not listed

Hello there

Recently I updated my forum from mybb 1.8.5 to 1.8.31, after some template issues, now things are almost fine.

Now, I'm facing an issue with my plugins. my plugin page in my admin area shows no installed plugins. It just shows a heading 

This section allows you to activate, deactivate, and manage the plugins that you have uploaded to your forum's inc/plugins directory. To hide a plugin from view, but not lose any stored information from it, click the Deactivate link.

and no plugins are listed under that.

It was an error from an old akismet script. Removed it and things are working fine.
