Email notification to moderators on any new post

I am running a private board for a small number of users to report any issues around a housing estate. As issues are infrequent, there are not many posts. When a user does post, it is important to be read the message as soon as possible as the message could be in regard to a safety issue, etc.

When a user posts a message on the forum, is there a way for an email to be sent out as a notification to the admin, or the users in the moderation group?

You have the option (in each forum) to subscribe to the forum:

That's great. Thanks for the information. Is there a way I can subscribe the moderators to forums, or do they have to do this manually?
