[For 1.8] Post images in post (No Attachment)
#1
Hi all,

Is there a way to post an image into a post without having to upload your image first to a external host, copy the link and insert it into 'Insert an image' tool?
I just want a button that says 'Insert image' and then I want to have a screen where I can upload my image and place it.

Does anybody know how i can do that?

You're talking about the post editor Insert Image button.  Instead, use MyBB's attachment system - which places the images on your host.

Or perhaps Crazycat's excellent ABP Imgur, which uses an anonymous Imgur upload.  Read the Important note in the Project Details, for more info:

Like the title of my post said. I don't want to use the attachment option. Because it places the image in a thumbnail under the post and not in it on the place where i want it.

I looked at the ABP IMGUR option but I don't want that either, because you'l have to pay for it to use t when i use more than 5 GB.

I worked with a lot of forums in the past and I could always just upload my image into a post and save it to my own server.
Why makes myBB impossible?

The attachment system will either aggregate all attachments at the end of the post, or permit the attachment to be inserted into the flow of the post. Could attach one at a time at the proper point of the text.

An attachment setting in ACP specifies whether a clickable thumbnail is displayed or the full image.

We have an image-heavy forum and use full-size images. Obviously at a certain cost of bandwidth use for the viewer.

Checkout the attachments settings as in the attached image:

You can already insert attachments into posts and move them freely within.

Nou, zo simpel is het dus kennelijk.
Dankjewel voor je enorm goede tip.
Nu werkt het zoals ik wil, zonder dat ik een afbeelding extern hoef te hosten.

Heel erg bedankt! <3
