Forums Visibility...

I want to make some diaries/forums , that will not be visible on the main page, but visible like ie when you click on the category...
Do you think i can do that with mybb ? i have been trying to but i can't seem to find a way . I managed to do that a while back on another forum , that used vB

Create them as 3rd level forum (see following)

Category (1st level)
--Forum (2nd level)
----Subforum (3rd level)

Then in Admin CP --> Board Settings --> Change --> Forum Home Options, change "Subforums to show" to 0
