Why the MyBB community site isn't a valid xhtml?

Question
As out-of-the-box, the MyBB system IS valid xhtml so I think it's worthwhile to keep it like that when changing the templates (IMO).

So why the MyBB community site isn't a valid xhtml?

IF you used W3schools validator, thats why. When I do my site, it keeps telling me to close a <center> tag... Which isn't open. The word "center" isn't even on the site XD

This site is serving xHTML 1.1 as text/html?

Not supposed to happen. You are just using xHTML 1.0 Strict....
