Upgrade 1.4.7 to 1.4.8 - version not changing - Resolved

Good afternoon.
I have attempted to upgrade from 1.4.7 to 1.4.8 several times now and am not quite sure where I'm going wrong. Each time I run the upgrade script it ends with telling me "Congratulations, your copy of MyBB has successfully been updated to 1.4.7." , the version check in Admin CP also tells me that my copy of MyBB is out of date and that I'm still running 1.4.7.

Each time I've tried downloading a fresh copy of the changed_files_1408 and using that to do the upgrade and still get the same problem. I did follow the steps in the upgrade Wiki, but I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

I apologize in advance if this has been addressed before. I have not had any luck searching the forum, although I thought I had seen this issue before.

If the version isn't changing, the new files aren't overwriting the old ones properly. Are you sure you're uploading the new files over the old ones, overwriting them??

I used my FTP program and thought that it uploaded/overwrote everything each time. In looking at the files it does look like even that this last time it didn't overwrite all of the files even though the program asked if it should and I said it should.

I also see 1 file that looks like it didn't get overwritten at all in any of the times I have tried to do this.

So... I will upload each file individually this time and try that.

I'm very sorry that i forgot to come back and update this and say that once I uploaded the files one at a time to make sure that they did indeed all upload the upgrade worked perfectly. Thank you for your quick and perfect advice!!!
