moderation problems.

I have a whole category that i want moderated. In the category, Forums and child forums I have the following selected:
Yes, moderate new posts
Yes, moderate new threads
Yes, moderate new attachments
Yes, moderate posts after they've been edited
The problem is that when i post a new post it posts And shows up in its forum but i have no permission to access it and nothing comes up awaiting moderation in the mod cp. can anyone help?

If you post it it won't go into the moderation queue, but for the permission bit, make sure the 'Can view threads within forum' is ticked in the advanced permissions.

The problem was resolved when i allowed guests to view the forum. If guests could not view the forum then nobody could read the threads... weird.
