A thread is a conversation on a particular topic and a post is each person talking in that conversation.

could you go into a bit more detail
If they don't understand that I'm not sure they'd need more detail What is it they don't understand...?? That's the best way of explaining it I can think of, a thread is a conversation on a topic, and posts in that thread are contributions to that conversation...
A Thread is a discussion on a certain topic that other members can discuss and talk about, a post is a topic that members post to to get others opinions and thoughts on and also discuss that topic.
might sound like matts but, they should understand.
Coming soon..

Please don't delete posts and make them again to bump the thread. I asked you a question that you never answered, what is it exactly that they don't understand??

So, your members register on your forum but they don't know what a post/thread is..that's weird. And looks like you're hiring moderators that don't have a clue about what's MyBB. (at least from what I read from your other thread, that's what I understood). You should only promote users to moderators, if they know how the MyBB interface works and if they are confortable with it. None of my moderators have ever asked me one question about how the moderation tools work. Most of the things are pretty self explanetory. Anyway, it's your forum, not mine
All my plugins are available for free at MyBB Extend and on my GitHub. MyBB-Plugins.com has been closed and none of my plugins are officially maintained or supported.
