Yes, but where do you want it displayed? Sometimes the index just isn't enough

Well, for this sidebox plugin, it makes templates and uses template conditionals to add them to the index template. If one REALLY wanted the sideboxes on a page other than the index, he would just ask someone to tell them how to do it.

Many(majority) just want it displayed on the index, I've never heard of anyone who wanted it on threadwhatever(I think you mean showthread).

Yes lol, I was reverting to my heavily modified phpBB2 file names again. OOPS! I spend so much time in those files I'll never get them out of my brain.

Oh well. If people don't want it, thats on them. I like it, the person who requested it likes it, and its a heck of a lot cleaner than the one discussed in this thread

I love how everyone loves to pick apart things on this board.

Just because YOU guys (or gals) don't know of anyone needing a side box with the features I have in the one I paid ralgith to make does not mean that there aren't people out there that do want this feature.

The internet is a big place and I'm sure you don't know every board and every owner and their needs to make such a judgement.

I for one think side boxes for logged in view only is a great idea. Why would you want some things that only benefit your members out in the open? And then there's the whole thing with PRIVATE boards - yeah those too exist! People with private boards want all their stuff private.
Go figure.

Like ralgith said, if you think it's too much for you, don't take it. There are thousands of plugins for Mybb out there so I'm sure you can find something that makes you happy.
