Thanks Darrell. Actually, the bug was reported in February and the fix was (as you said) obvious. However, the uploaded file in version 1.1 didn't include the changes so I had to push it in again as a new version (1.2). This version is compatible with both 1.4 and 1.6 versions of MyBB.

Is there a way to add a small X on the right side of the bar so that a user who saw the message can simply close it and it will be marked "seen" and won't show up again until a new message comes up? (I've seen a similar thing in vbulletin).

I basically want the same functionality as when someone sends you a pm. The bar appears on top and has a button to close the note.

Also, Top Bars is incompatible with internet explorer browsers (all versions) since you can only see the text and not styling of the bar.

It would also be very useful if the bars were disabled if a user is was not logged in and viewed the forums in guest mode.
