Again, no, it couldn't be guaranteed, as there may be database changes, and the merge system would be updated based on a 1.6 final database, not a 1.6 beta database.

It's more timely than difficult You first need to take a backup of your database, then delete all mybb 1.6 beta files. Then upload your database. Write a converter script to make database changes back to the 1.4.13 way it should be. And then connect the database.
Most of the other versions of mybb didn't have an updater from beta to final. This is a good security measure to keep people from updating live forums and exists for both the forum webmaster and the mybb staff. So in the long run, it's going to be difficult if you are not fluent with sql and understand how to find the database differences. And mybb staff will probably not provide you with any help if you do need this done. That’s still not downgrading your forum, that’s simply reverting to a backup and you will lose any data from after that backup. |
