The jQuery is conflicting with Prototype. You should fix that. And personally, I like the menu you had when you started. More than the one you have now anyways. You also should fix the MyBB copyright. It's off and looks weird.

Nice, nice. I would suggest a more subtle gradient and a bit less rounded.
