How come some Themes dont work?

I have been trying out several themes and I notice all the basic ones work well but anything that is a little more elaborate like Medalz don't work all that well.

A lot of the, I guess attributes or effects and not there.

Any suggestions?

Double check the directory, it should be,

www/images/themename/themecontents

Too often I see,

www/images/folder/themename/themecontents

Thanks for the help but I still didn't get it to work,

I went in my cpanel and move the file to www/images so now its
www/images/themename/themecontents and it still isn't working right.

It should be in public_html

[Clone]

As darkly said, public_html is always used as an image source.
Files in www/ can't be linked too.
