Staff group using Members ranks

I added some of my members on my board to a staff group which has the image

images/staffrank.png

But when I got to see any of their posts they are still using the members rank of

images/member.png

How do I set them to ahve the rank I specified in their group? I set their primary group to the staff one and their show group as the staff but still no luck.

Do members already in that group have the staff ranks?

Members in the registered group have the member.png rank and the members in the staff group have the staff rank.png

Although the staff group is still showing up with the members rank.

Probably stupid, but are they actually set as Staff.
Like primary group or if secondary they have set themselves as it.?

You probably have but some people make the simple mistakes.

Make sure their display group is set to Staff or primary.

I have the staff group set as primary for the staff members and they are not selected for any other groups.

I can I just say it shows on their profile, just not in posts for some reason.

You've set them under User Stars. I've changed the Critique team to Group Image and it works.

You have no User Titles defined and the number of stars only takes effect if Default User Title is not blank.

Yes it's working now but it is showing them up as 2 ranks now. They have both the member rank and the staff rank.
