Looks great! However, it would be nice if you could limit it to maybe 3 characters minimum?
All my plugins are available for free at MyBB Extend and on my GitHub. MyBB-Plugins.com has been closed and none of my plugins are officially maintained or supported.

It doesn't use the minimum, but other than that it seems great.
Edit: Another thing to look at, set the full path to the script jsearch.php as if you go to another directory, where you get a 404, the search will not work there as it will be looking for a file that does not exist. Regards, Jammerx2
