Solved: 9 Years, 3 Weeks ago [How To?] Need to change database password
Solved: 9 Years, 3 Weeks ago
I have a hacker who has downloaded all files on my sites via FTP. So far no damage, but I am trying to be safe.... I want to change the database password for my forum because I'm thinking that my current password is plainly visible in the coding of some of the files.

I host with GoDaddy and can change DB password thru their control panel, but exactly what and where do I need to update the credentials in mybb admin panel?

Are there any other changes I should make (other than DB password)?

Thanks so much!
Undecided (this sucks)

You have to edit the ./inc/config.php file to change the database credentials.
If not already done, be sure that you take a strong password (also for your FTP access).
