MyBB is Moving Soon!

Okay, so this isn't really an announcement so I just decided to post this here.

I purchased a dedicated server last night and it came online today - since then i've been setting it up so we can move mybboard.com over to it.

The dedicated server will allow us to use Subversion to manage MyBB code (It's like CVS but better ) and will also make these forums quicker as it is dedicated hardware.

So there is still alot of things to do in preparation for the move - and the main site and forums will be the last part of mybboard.com to be moved over, i'd just thought I'd let you guys know

Hi Chris,

Are you going to be a Monthly - Annually subscription IP ?

As I'm running with a Canadian one at the moment, and would like to keep the $$'s in Aus... Providing the $$'s are reasonable of course ??

The server is through http://www.theplanet.com and i'm paying for it monthly through an Australian company who sold the server to me.

I'd say probably stick with your current host as I think you'll find Australian web hosts are alot more expensive, even if they have their servers in the US where bandwidth is cheaper. Have you tried http://www.asmallorange.com?

I will check it out, but I have a more pressing problem at the moment which I will post in the appropriate forum.

I'm sure it's a server one, as my current host is an absolute pain with their database server.. you would not believe the problems it creates.. and how often it is down... hence the need for a new host me thinks.
