Not Solved Moving my MyBB installation?
#1
Not Solved
So currently, my MyBB forums are on the root folder, so they are accessed by just going to www.example.com

Now I have considered the possibility of making a homepage for the site that will occupy the www.example.com, and move my forums to www.example.com/forums folder, you get the idea.

So what I have on mind is... well, simply moving all files found in the root folder to a newly created forums folder. And, nothing else.

Is that enough? Do I have to configure something else? Settings? Is there some kind of risk? Something to do with the databases? Or with my hosting service? Etc? Because, I tell you, I'm paranoid ;D

Thanks.

Configuration > General Configuration >
Board URL - http://myforum.com/forum
Homepage URL - /forum/index.php

Then move your files.

You'll also need to change the Cookie Path to /forums/ or you won't be able to login... also you don't need to change the homepage URL, that's just a URL to any site you want.
MyReactions - All Plugins

Can you still feel the butterflies?

Free never tasted like pudding.
