Being realistic, are there enough active developers remaining right now, with sufficient time to commit and skills in all the right areas for MyBB 1.8 and 2.0 to be considered "live" projects?

I am following the development activity on github. There have been a LOT of commits in the last couple of weeks and I think it looks like there is a LOT of activity going on. Remember, now that MyBB is using github everyone can be a "developer" and add code to fix bugs etc.
