Getting rid of annoying spammers who keep registering

What are some ways to get rid of spammers who register and put their site in their profile and signature?

admin cp>configuration>User Registration and Profile Settings>scrool down to Maximum Registrations per ip address

Doesn't help. I have it set to 1 and I still get a whole bunch of spammers. StopForumSpam and GoodByeSpammerTool is the best thing you can do, that and a good mod team.

I installed stopforumspam. Is that good enough or should I install the other ones as well?

That will help you take care of them if they get past SFS^

Also, be sure to uncheck the IP option for the SFS plugin, it's really not helping anything and in fact could keep some legit members from joining.
