Posted by: Atlas32 - Today 05:30 AM - Replies (3)

Hello, ive recently started uploading my own photos to the server as attachments opposed to embedding links from imgur.

Now, unless your an admin when you click the photo it says that you dont have the proper permissions..

How do i change this so registered users can open attachments??

Thanks

  Count posts of members
Posted by: BigTimeRush - Today 04:57 AM - Replies (4)

Hello

I have a opened a post to host forum using MyBB software.
How do I count posts of members per month?

As members need to make 25 posts every month to have something by my post to host. If they don't reach 25 posts, I have to disable the service for them. So is there any way to count posts? I have looked at certain plugins but they aren't what I want.

  Quote button not working (2014)
Posted by: lludawg - Today 01:03 AM - Replies (1)

I am not sure if this code is old or something but when I click quote it leads me to the "Post A New Reply" page without the quote.

Code:
<a href="newreply.php?tid={$tid}&amp;replyto={$post['pid']}"><img src="{$theme['imglangdir']}/postbit_quote.gif" alt="{$lang->postbit_quote}" title="{$lang->postbit_quote}" /></a>

  Moving locked topics to bottom
Posted by: nth - Yesterday 11:30 PM - No Replies

I tried this but that moves all the locked topics (even if they're sticky). I want the sticky ones to stay in their section.

Is there a mod or anything to do this?

Done it. It is a core edit.

forumdisplay.php
Find:
PHP Code:
$query $db->query("
        SELECT t.*,
{$ratingadd}t.username AS threadusername, u.username
        FROM "
.TABLE_PREFIX."threads t
        LEFT JOIN "
.TABLE_PREFIX."users u ON (u.uid = t.uid)
        WHERE t.fid='
$fid$tuseronly $tvisibleonly $datecutsql2
        ORDER BY  t.sticky DESC,
{$t}{$sortfield} $sortordernow $sortfield2
        LIMIT
$start$perpage
    "
);

Replace with:
PHP Code:
    $query $db->query("
        SELECT t.*,
{$ratingadd}t.username AS threadusername, u.username
        FROM "
.TABLE_PREFIX."threads t
        LEFT JOIN "
.TABLE_PREFIX."users u ON (u.uid = t.uid)
        WHERE t.fid='
$fid$tuseronly $tvisibleonly $datecutsql2
        ORDER BY t.sticky DESC, t.closed ASC,
{$t}{$sortfield} $sortordernow $sortfield2
        LIMIT
$start$perpage
    "
);

  SQL Error on Index page ONLY
Posted by: Zach1 - Yesterday 11:23 PM - Replies (1)

Just randomly got it today, never seen this error till now.

Nothing has changed, no new plugins, no setting changes.

Site URL: http://chillforum.zone/

Error Code

Code:
MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

SQL Error:
1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'WHERE t.fid NOT IN (82,83,90,93,96) AND t.visible = '1' GROUP BY t.tid ' at line 9
Query:
SELECT t.tid, t.fid, t.subject, t.lastpost, t.lastposter, t.lastposteruid, f.name, u.usergroup, u.displaygroup FROM 1388453148_threads AS t INNER JOIN 1388453148_forums as f ON (f.fid = t.fid) LEFT JOIN 1388453148_users AS u ON (t.lastposteruid = u.uid) WHERE t.fid NOT IN ('11','82','34','7','33','16','29','32','37','46','83','90','93','96') WHERE t.fid NOT IN (82,83,90,93,96) AND t.visible = '1' GROUP BY t.tid ORDER BY t.lastpost DESC LIMIT 5

Figured it out, caused by when I made a section unactive (Uncheck "Forum is Active?" in admin panel). o.0

  Custom latest threads
Posted by: vEconomy - Yesterday 08:10 PM - No Replies

I am wanting to put a 2nd latest threads sidebar on my homepage. The first one just displays every post on the forum.

The second one I want to only display from a certain forum. Is there some plugin or way to do this?

The only way I know would be to manually create a php script that queries the database and then displays the results, and then include_once in the sidebar.
