created a user box and remove <tr> and other things..
Posted by: The_Dark - Yesterday, 10:02 PM - Forum: General Support - No Replies

As you can see from this screen > [Image: 3225544permybboarditalia.PNG]

You have created a user box that does not stretch if a post contains so many characters , however in my forum ( the box is not there and I do not know how to create it ) the longer one more post that kind of column is the author of the post stretches .
Also how did you do the layout of the discussion without <tr > ... ?

I would like to do all these things , as you have done? what is the procedure to do?

  Display userprofile variable in templates
Posted by: Jean Pierre - Yesterday, 06:07 PM - Forum: General Support - No Replies

Hi, this is my first topic of support in community MyBB.

I need to show the username of each user's profile, i don't want the {$mybb->user['username']} variable because that's not what i'm looking.

{$mybb->user['username']} displays the name of the user logged; however, i need a variable that displays the username of the profile that i or someone visit.

Normally I would use {$formattedname} but that variable does not work in a global template generated by a plugin, that then the variable generated, that contains all the global template, is inserted in the member_profile template.

Any way to do or get what I want?

Regards.

  Unable to edit templates
Posted by: ShadowOne - Yesterday, 06:00 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (5)

I oved my board to a new host and after that i noticed that i cannot longer edit nor select templates fields, they're completely gray like described here:

http://community.mybb.com/thread-34427.html

I've solved the issue turning JS off on firefox but this is strange since on the original board i can edit templates without problems.

  Recovering a forum issues
Posted by: MikeInToshx - Yesterday, 01:19 PM - Forum: General Support - Replies (4)

Hi guys,

I'm trying to recover a forum I used to have "computerhelpforum.be". The host failed and so my website went offline.. but anways..

I imported the database in phpmyadmin that I saved, and upladed all files, changed settings.php, config.php to my database info.

However, I'm still getting no images, and links still display my old URL 'computerhelpforum.be/..."

  Tracking down Bandwidth usage
Posted by: MarkW7 - Yesterday, 12:07 PM - Forum: General Support - No Replies

I have recently migrated a forum from IPB to MyBB it's not a very large forum at 66,138 posts and 2,364 threads.

I am a little concerned by how much bandwidth the website is using.

I am taking all of these statistics from cPanel.
Sep 2014 HTTP usage 17.59 Gig

To work out the average per day over a 30 day month.
18,000 / 30 = average 600Mbs a day

If I look under "Latest visitors" in cPanel and sort via size.
A simple /showthread.php?tid=1699&pid=63823 is size in bytes: 176,099 for example.
But a /showthread.php?tid=1576&pid=19353&mode=threaded is 985,446

What is &mode=threaded?

I've looked in the raw access logs and .htaccess banned a few select IPs.

I've check the sites theme and it doesn't seem very large, Is there anything else I can check to see why pages are large and to narrow down what's sucking the bandwidth?

  Export then Import Users
Posted by: ChilledStorm - Yesterday, 09:58 AM - Forum: General Support - No Replies

Hi all!

I've searched but can't find a definitive answer.

I want to export my users / members from one of my MyBB forums and import them into another.

Not posts, etc - just the members - so they, therefore, become a member of another forum.

How can I do this?

Many thanks

Phil
